Programmes

Multi-session kaupapa designed to support deeper learning, reflection, and pathway development over time.

How our kaupapa shows up

Every event and programme we facilitate is grounded in kaupapa Māori and guided by values that prioritise people, relationships, and lived experience.

‍This means our mahi:

  • Centres rangatahi voices and aspirations
  • Values mātauranga Māori alongside contemporary knowledge
  • Encourages shared learning through kōrero and activity
  • Supports mana motuhake by helping rangatahi lead their own pathways

Our role as facilitators

Facilitation sits at the heart of Kia Mau Talent's mahi. Rather than delivering fixed programmes, we work alongside communities to co-design learning experiences that reflect local context, aspirations, and strengths.

This means our mahi looks different every time — shaped by the people, the place, and the kaupapa. Our role is to create safe, engaging spaces where rangatahi can learn from people they relate to, explore real-world pathways, and build confidence in who they are and where they're heading.

Who we work alongside

  • Rangatahi and whānau
  • Schools and alternative education providers
  • Community organisations, Iwi, hapū, councils, and funders

We often work at the intersection of these groups to strengthen pathways and shared understanding.
